Loving Archpastoral blessings and prayers for all!

Once again, My Lord and My God, I am cast into the pit of this prison.
Constrained by its surrounding walls, I nonetheless send out to the beloved flock
Thou hast entrusted to me, my loving Archpastoral blessings.
I assure them all that my prayers for them cannot be held captive within prison walls!
My daily prayers before Thee will not cease; neither shall my faith falter
nor my courage fail so long as I remember Thee, so long as I remember to praise Thee
with my lips and with my whole heart and mind and soul. I shall turn to Thee
here in my prison cell, knowing that Thou art here as Thou art surely everywhere.
So I pray to Thee that Thou wilt bless my brother hierarchs, the priests, monks, nuns,
and all those faithful who love Thee and also pray to Thee. For they in their many trials
and efforts struggle also as I struggle for the faith, every day and every hour.

Thou knowest these troubled times, how we all are challenged to keep the faith.
Thou seest our hardships and our sorrows, our triumphs and our set-backs, our joys
and our frustrations, our successes and our failings. Hear their prayers; hear my prayers,
O Lord. Comfort them in the pain they suffer on my behalf; accept from me the sacrifice
of my pain which I suffer that they may continue in freedom to worship Thee.
In Thy loving kindness and by Thy grace watch over them all and send them the comfort
that only knowledge of Thy promised eternal joy can bring. Sustain their needs, both of
body and soul— for their love is great but so also is their hunger and deprivation.

Hear me, Lord! I stand before Thee unworthy, yet my love for Thee and for my brothers
and sisters is great. Enemies surround us all at this hour: I fear the flock Thou hast
entrusted to me is on its way to slaughter. Many seek to do evil against me.
Hourly my many enemies plot together what more accusations they might raise
to bring me down. I stand humbly before Thee, my loving Lord, beseeching Thee
to purge resentment and thoughts of vengeance from my mind and heart.
I am Thy hierarch and Thy loving servant: Thou hast charged me, poor sinner
and weak mortal man though I am, to show others the way to Thee through my own
life’s example. Let me never forget that this is my duty and my purpose.

O God, let what is good and holy triumph among the people! Let true Christian love
and Thy peace continue to shine within my own poor heart and soul! Shine Thy Light
through me so that others may see Thee here, even in the midst of hardship and adversity.
Lord, let not Thy servant’s faith be shaken by prison walls, nor allow that neighborly love
Thou didst command of Thy followers to be weakened by hostile attacks. Strengthen me
as Thou didst Thy Great Apostle Peter when he was himself in prison.
Guard my humility lest in pride I award myself a martyr’s status. Grant me a sea of tears
to accompany my unceasing prayers. Let none who love or care for me despair.

May Thy Holy Mother hold us all within her Protecting Veil.

Please humbly remember in your prayers Archbishop Jovan and his flock in Christ our Lord.
Peace to your soul!
Humbly in Christ our Lord,
